Mr. Rick Hirata studied and graduated from Dental technology school in Japan and moved to Canada 1973. Sekine dental lab was founded by Tom Sekine in 1976 and Rick took over from Tom in 1980 and changed the name to Crown dental laboratory ltd.
Mr. Akrum Jomha graduated from Nait in May 2003 with honours, and became a Registered Dental Technologist. During his studies at Nait he was a part time technician at Crown Dental Lab, and after graduation he became a full time technician. He was trained by Rick in all aspects of fabricating high quality crowns and bridges. He also attends educational and hands on courses.
In 2009 Mr. Jomha took over Crown Dental Lab with Mr.Hirata staying on board until 2012. Crown Dental Lab is an active member of College of dental technologists of Alberta and an affiliate of the National Association of Dental Laboratories
